yeste.studio is the studio lab & workshop of Javier Sánchez Yeste.

Sound explorer, software engineer, coder, with a degree in Psychology, trained in harmony and composition and postgraduate in sound art. His artistic work explores the aesthetic consequences of algorithmically generated sound structures and their interaction - and interference - with processes that are not algorithmic. He is completing a PhD in Fine Arts at the Universitat de Barcelona, expected in 2026, on programming languages as cognitive tools for sound and music composition.

He designed and develops MusaDSL, an open source Ruby language for algorithmic sound and music composition, and the ecosystem that has grown around it: a live coding environment, and Nota, an AI composition assistant for MusaDSL.

Since the 2021-22 academic year he has taught audio postproduction on the Màster en Art Sonor at the Universitat de Barcelona, and gives guest lectures and talks on algorithmic composition and artificial intelligence, most recently at the ESMUC (2026).
